"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ"
Ephesians 4:11-12
In our church we have several areas for the individual to become active with others of the church. Sunday School, Men’s Prayer Breakfast, Women’s Ministries and Bible Studies, afford times to meet others and develop lasting relationships. We also have ways for the individual to serve. Those serving should understand that those leading in service are expected to lead by example. Those involved in ministries, whether staff or lay member, are expected to be faithful in their testimony and walk for Christ. Church attendance should be steady in pattern. Financially supporting the ministries of the church is seen as a blessing and should be practiced by all involved in any ministry.
WPBC requires that anyone seeking to help in the ministry toward anyone under the age eighteen submit to an annual background check. This is a safety measure required so that we can assure the parents that an infant, child or student is safe while on our campus or on a church sponsored activity.
